Department of Construction Technology (k122) - Technical University in Prague, Faculty of Civil Engineering

Department of Construction Technology is an organizer of international conference TECHSTA.

The department of Construction Technology of Faculty Civil Engineering of the Czech Technical University in Prague is in charge of the teaching a subject "Technology of buildings" ,including postgraduate studies. 

Basically the department informs within these subjects about the basic knowledge of construction processes, technology and mechanization, the theory of pre-construction preparation and production, scheduling, design of site facilities, operational management work in construction and use of computer technology in these areas. Emphasis is placed on the dissemination of technical, technological, economic, and organizational skills and mastery of the principles of self-management decisions in business. The important task is teaching the base of security in workplaces and arrangement requirements for industrial production with respect to the environment.

The Department is contributing significantly to the development of didactic teaching engineering subjects in the emergence of "information society", which is supported by grants of Ministry of Education. The Department cooperates closely with similar departments of technical universities in the Czech Republic, Slovak Republic, Poland, Croatia, The United States and Great Britain.
